We are pleased to announce the successful handover of our second Grandstand capex investment scheme for Marston’s PLC, Geoff Overall at The Gardeners Arms, Thornton-Cleveleys!

Following a comprehensive £423k refurbishment, this popular local has been transformed into a state-of-the-art Grandstand sports pub — Marston’s innovative format designed to bring stadium-style excitement to the heart of the community.

The revamp delivers a proper big-match atmosphere with giant screens, upgraded sound systems, tiered seating for that immersive viewing experience, refreshed interiors, enhanced facilities, and all the elements needed to make every game day unforgettable — while still remaining a welcoming spot for locals year-round.

Closed temporarily since mid-January, we’ve now handed over and the pub is ready to welcome back regulars (and plenty of new faces) to an even better venue.

We’re proud to see another successful Grandstand rollout helping Marston’s pubs thrive in 2026 and beyond.
