We’re proud to announce the successful handover of The Kings Head - formerly known as The Weavers Rest - following a comprehensive restoration project that has revealed the building’s original 19th-century character for Neil Pollard & Admiral Taverns with help from Nick Darnley.

Our works included the careful removal of decades of paint from the front façade, exposing the stunning original tiles and brickwork from the 1800s. During this process, we made an exciting discovery: the original pub name, The Kings Head, hidden beneath many layers of paint.

In honour of its heritage, the venue has now been restored not only in appearance, but also in name, reclaiming its place in Atherton’s history.

It’s been a privilege to work on a project that celebrates craftsmanship, preserves local heritage, and breathes new life into such a landmark building.
